British Hospitals, FedEx Among Thousands Hit by Ransomware
Authorities are investigating a massive ransomware attack that
reportedly hit more than 45,000 computers in 74 countries worldwide,
including the UK's NHS England national health service, international
delivery service FedEx, and Spanish telecom firm Telefonica. Security
experts have linked the exploit to an earlier leak by the Shadow
Brokers, who allegedly pilfered hacking tools from the NSA.

Consumer WiFi Use: No Letup in Sight
Consumers use lots of data on their mobile devices. While half of
consumers use less than 7 GB per month, data consumption is heavily
skewed toward the upper end, recent Parks Associates research indicates.
Among U.S. broadband households, mean data consumption is roughly 20 GB
per month, with 14 GB used on WiFi and 6 GB through 3G/4G/LTE networks.
Consumers' monthly WiFi data consumption increased by 40 percent from
2015 to 2016.

Veeva Offers Cross-Stack Customer Insights
Veeva Systems earlier this week announced Veeva CRM MyInsights, a new
cloud-based data visualization capability producing tailored insights
within Veeva CRM. MyInsights lets users of tablets or other mobile
devices access, analyze and visualize information in real time. It
includes fixed reporting for sales and activity data and a new,
customizable HTML5/JavaScript framework.
