Today's Story Highlights

The Mystery of the Missing LinkedIn Post Views
There's a disconnect between the number of connections a LinkedIn user
has and the number of post views attracted, LinkedIn influencer Itai
Leshem noticed. Prepping his startup for the launchpad, Leshem dug into
LinkedIn's post distribution data for about six hours one day and found
a number of LinkedIn influencers with millions of followers who averaged
only thousands of post views -- or less.

Walmart to Jump the Gun on Cyber Monday
Walmart on Monday announced it will release all 2,000 Cyber Monday deals
at 8 p.m. EST Sunday. That and other retailer moves are making it look
as if Cyber Monday might be a nonevent this holiday season: Amazon is
running an eight-day Black Friday sale that will take it through Cyber
Monday, leading Walmart to launch a price-matching event to compete.

Report: Mobile Payments Won't Be a Thing This Holiday Season
Bankrate.com on Monday released results of a survey showing that even
though consumers may have more mobile payment options this holiday
season, more than two-thirds of shoppers won't be using them. That's
because seven out of 10 Americans surveyed said they'll be using cash or
a debit card for most of their holiday buys, according to Bankrate.

HPE Closes Ranks With Microsoft on Windows 10
Microsoft last week announced a collaboration with Hewlett Packard
Enterprise to push Windows 10 solutions to enterprises worldwide. The
collaboration will occur in three areas: cloud, productivity and
mobility. The move harks back to the strategy Microsoft CEO Satya
Nadella outlined last year, saying the company would focus on cloud,
mobile and empowering users everywhere.

Great Customer Experiences Start With Sales
The term "customer experience" flows from the lips of business people so
smoothly these days. It's very clearly the business jargon du jour; its
importance has been trending upward for the last decade, and according
to Gartner, by 2018 more than half of all businesses will implement
significant business model changes in their efforts to improve customer
experience.

Have You Started Your Black Friday Shopping Yet?
Although Black Friday is still days away, Amazon shoppers are already in
the thick of it. The company last Friday launched an eight-day-long
Black Friday Deals Week. New deals are surfacing as often as every five
minutes. Customers will have access to 10 Deals of the Day starting at
midnight on Thanksgiving, and up to 10 more this Friday -- the
traditional Black Friday.

NY AG Subpoenas Yahoo in Daily Fantasy Sports Battle
New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman this week sought an
injunction to keep DraftKings and FanDuel from operating in the state,
according to press reports. He also subpoenaed Yahoo as part of his
effort to end the operation of daily fantasy sports platforms in New
York, press reports said. If he's successful, it could tip the dominoes
in other states.
