THE DAILY CRUNCH
FRIDAY, APRIL 13 2018 By Anthony Ha

Backpage faces criminal charges, the new Gmail might include self-destructing emails and Trump escalates his feud with Amazon. All that and more in The Daily Crunch for April 13, 2018.

1. Backpage pleads guilty to sex trafficking, CEO faces up to 5 years for money laundering

Both the company and CEO Carl Ferrer have pled guilty to charges of sex trafficking and money laundering, respectively, according to the Texas Attorney General's office. The federal government seized the site, which believed to be the main online platform of the sex trade, last week.

Backpage could still face additional charges in other jurisdictions.

4. Comcast will start bundling Netflix into its cable subscriptions
